Daniel Zauderer

Dan left his career as a startup sales and business developer and began his career in education as a teacher in Costa Rica. After falling in love with teaching, he went on to achieve his Masters in Education from The Teachers College at Columbia University and pursued his passion for teaching for the next four years in a bilingual South Bronx classroom.

It was here that he witnessed many students and their families experience food insecurity. Motivated by this awareness and his love for his Bronx community, Dan used his skills and experience to co-found Mott Haven Fridge, transforming the food assistance paradigm so that everyone can eat with dignity and all community members can play an active role in their own empowerment.

Now, he has partnered with Rina Madhani from Start Lighthouse to bring you stories of people who have made a difference in the Bronx and inspire others to do the same.
